Welcome to Nautilus Mental Health! I’m Amanda Mitchell, a Doctorally-prepared Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and the founder of NMH.
Life can present challenges that sometimes feel overwhelming, and during those times, it’s normal to need extra support to navigate through. At Nautilus Mental Health, we offer a compassionate space where we work closely with you to listen, understand, and guide you through challenging mental health symptoms. While medication alone may not solve everything, when paired with psychotherapy, it can become a powerful tool to help you on your path to healing.
As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I provide evidence-based psychiatric medication management combined with supportive psychotherapy. I treat a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, and PTSD, and work with patients ages 18 & up. I have a passion for helping individuals who are struggling to cope with change and life transitions, supporting them in their recovery and growth through a combination of psychiatric medications and therapy. I am a trauma-informed provider, and I also enjoy working with folks who are neurodivergent.
In our first session, we’ll collaborate to understand the root causes of your symptoms and develop a plan to help you regain control and improve your overall well-being. I’m here to support you on your journey to mental wellness. Navigating this process alone can be difficult, but together we can make meaningful progress toward your goals.
I provide supportive therapy during your medication management visits to include techniques such as motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, & mindfulness. As of now, I do not provide therapy as a stand-alone service. I work alongside talented therapists within a collaborative group & am happy to refer you, if more targeted or specific therapy is needed or desired.
I offer both in-person appointments & virtual telehealth appointments.
I am currently only accepting new patients who are 18 and older.
I currently accept:
*Self Pay Rates:
$300 for initial new patient psychiatric evaluation, 60 minutes
$175 for follow-up medication management visits, 15-30 minutes
NMH shares office space inside of the Well-Rooted Wellness Collaborative, which is an interdisciplinary mental health group. NMH shares space alongside many knowledgeable psychotherapists & I am happy to refer you, if needed. NMH is located at 4620 Cedar Avenue Suite 117 in Wilmington, NC.
